Physical Therapists

Wendi Martin, MPT - Lead Therapist

Wendi Martin graduated from Wesleyan College in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and was employed for three years as a high school science teacher.  Realizing that she had a different calling, Wendi returned to school and graduated from The Medical College of Georgia with a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 1999.  She has training in seating and mobility, NDT, sensory integration, myofacial release, and aquatic therapy.  Her primary focus has been to provide quality care to the pediatric population, believing that therapy is something that happens not only in the clinic, but throughout the day.  She feels the parent is the best therapist a child can have, and that her job is to teach parents and caregivers how to incorporate therapy into their daily activities.   Wendi resides in Oglethorpe with her husband, Tommy, and her two children, Sara Morgan and Winn.

Krista Brooks, DPT

Krista received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia in 2008. Krista knew she wanted to work with children early on, but that desire was only strengthened after participating in two pediatric clinical affiliations. After graduation, she worked with children under the age of 3 at Womack Army Medical Center at Ft. Bragg, NC while her husband was stationed there with the 82nd Airborne Division. Krista and her husband moved back home to Georgia in 2010, where she began working with adults in Coliseum Medical Center’s inpatient rehabilitation program. After a year and a half there, she realized how much she missed working with children, and joined The Speech Path in December 2011. Krista and her husband live in Forsyth and have a 2 ½ year old little girl, Caroline. In her spare time, she likes to read and do home remodeling projects.

Natalie Harris, DPT

Natalie has experience working in a rural area for the past six years, giving her a variety of experiences with children and adults, including in-patient, out-patient, geriatrics, and the school system.  Natalie has always felt drawn to children and wants to assist them in managing their disability to best of their ability.  Natalie will join The Speech Path in January 2013 as another full-time pediatric physical therapist.  Natalie has a little girl, Avery, and in her spare time enjoys cycling.
